ICANN New gTLD Question: How will ICANN’s Trademark Clearinghouse work?

Our first question which we pulled up that a number of people are asking about is on the subject of how trademarks are going to be handled. This is described in the whitepaper which all of you received in the email which is called the Trademark Clearinghouse run by ICANN. What is the trademark protection process? How do I know if someone is trying to register a string that I consider my own? Let’s say you are applying for a new TLD. If two people apply for the same TLD then it will go into an evaluation. If both are equally qualified for the name then it will go into an auction.
